Zynga offers numerous successful and entertaining games for social players, and CityVille is no different. You have your basic city building game, just with a lot more than you might expect. It offers plenty of options and it keeps you busy the entire time you are playing it.

It has you growing crops, building businesses, developing franchises, and keeping everything running smoothly. You have to do time management and you have to choose everything carefully. How you build the city, and how you take care of everything, will determine what happens with your city. You can build it up to great heights or leave it to become nothing at all.

You start out in CityVille exactly as you would imagine. It is a small location that has yet to truly see any growth as a city, that is, until you come along. You are here to turn this small location into a massive, bustling city that will attract attention and keep people talking. Build shops, crops, and more types of buildings to give your people what they need to live, survive, and grow happily. Thanks to the large selection available, you can continue to grow your city until it becomes as massive as it should be, and you can make it all your own.

You are not just playing in some sandbox with CityVille. While you can build and do more, you also have missions that guide you throughout the creation of your city and that help to offer challenges throughout the game.

If you have played these games before, it is likely that you know how this works. It is a similar setup to a lot of other Facebook and Zynga games, where you need to complete missions and use energy wisely to grow. This is a major aspect of the game that keeps it interesting.

Of course, being a Facebook game, CityVille is going to have social features to it. Like any Zynga game, you are going to want to bring friends in to play so that you can help them out to earn energy and so that they can help you get resources. Without friends, it is nearly impossible to play. Luckily, this is such a massive game that finding friends who play it regularly is not that difficult.

You can have them help you out through rough patches and you can help them, too. This keeps everything fun and in balance as you continue to build on your city.

Building and working and socializing are all important for CityVille, but they also rely on you getting to them in a timely manner. If you forget to do something, you might find that a request has expired or that something is ruined, such a wilting crops if left to sit for too long. Managing these times is incredibly easy, thankfully, because you have plenty of opportunities to check on things before they are gone. Just make sure that you do not wait too long or you will come back to nothing, forcing you to restart crops or go without something you might have needed.

Cityville is free to play.
